Career speaker talks to two studentsBemis Life Skills students welcomed guests to the class so they could pick their brains about success after high school.

Casey Finkbeiner invited Bemis and Ford grads, who returned to talk about their careers, including Matt Simms, a radio DJ and Evan Burg, a successful auto detailer.

Parents and grandparents joined in to inspire students to pursue their goals and get an education,  while they shared their own careers in health, engineering, and business .

Local community members in fields such as survey engineering and biogenics offered advice and made connections with the 8th graders.

The youngest guest to meet Bemis students is a professional dancer for the Detroit Pistons Motor City Minis, and he performed for classes after he shared his advice on taking chances and sticking with your goals.

The interviews allowed students a glimpse into life outside of school and what success means to a variety of people.
